Costumes in pvp
Just hear me out -
most everyone has same armor for pvp anyway why not express ourselves more with full costumes in pvp considering most are participating in the War in Kryta events. Maybe make white mantle vs shining blade but simply allow costumes in pvp regardless of costume type.
In pvp I don't andmost of the majority doesn't look. At armor to identify targets as a distraction or to find the most threatening enemy. It's the following for everyone
1: find a target
2: click the target
3: look at targets profession and whathe/ she is using as a skill
Honestly there's just no logical reason why costumes cannot be used in pvp.
I'd be proud to wear my shining blade outfit to show my support in pvp to OTHER players not just monsters in pve or towns ~.~
VOTE pls

We don't need to see costumes on pvp. You say people don't make attention to your armor so why show it? Only lost of time

Yeah. It would be nice to show off your attire to pvp, where it most matters. Begs the question, though: How come we aren't allowed to show them off in pvp in the first place? Well, what ever anets reasons are escapes me. I myself would like to show off my unique attire. I'll sign.

I know that I use appearance to tell me about what certain characters are while I'm in match
for instance, if I'm in halls and I see someone running to my base on cap points I can tell it's a warrior by his armor. Now if everyone was wearing white mantle costumes then I and others would not be able to recognize opponents by their armor
And I'm sure you don't try to tab through, let alone click on every targeT while trying to find the monk in an Ha/GvG match. That would just be ridiculous to be forced to do that when right now I can spot a monk by the armor he's wearing and then IMMEDIATELY click on him rather than going through many identical targets to find that monk

Your doing it wrong. Something runs up to you in a costume... you dont want to take the time to work out what it is. For instance if its a warrior you know you need to do something defensive, if its a mesmer you might want to cast one last spell before blackout hits, or send off a d-shot to interupt blackout. If its a derv you might want to strip its enchants to make wounding strike not cause deepwound, or again guardian yourself.
You have three enemies next to each other and you know that one is a mesmer and ones a monk. Your pressuring attacking the monk wiht your bow but need to interupt the mesmers diversions etc so that your monk doesnt get destroyed. You select the wrong one because you cant tell which is which.
I can keep going all day, as well as being a good thing to keep track of. For instance an overextended mesmer is a desirable target. A ranger or warrior in the frontlines not so much. You dont want to have to tab through or click on them to work out what they are when a brief 2 second glance can tell you if its a target that is worth changing too or if its not worth the effort.

Actually in most arena's that's exactly what most players do. It's also a very important part of the game.
Tabbing through to figure out what's running at you costs too much time.

Personally, I do look at a players armour to identify them but I wouldn't mind headpieces being shown.

everyone would end up wearing the same thing and everyone would look identical, making visual recognization of targets extremely difficult. it would be a small advantage, but an advantage nonetheless

I only saw one pathetic answer so far really.
Visual identification is pretty important when playing in 8v8 or even 4v4 situations. If you have to click everything to see what it is, you lose about 0.5-1 second, which can be as much as a skill activation. It would be quite a big advantage.

Costumes and festive headgears for PvP have both been suggested before.
